European Fertilizer Blenders Association
 EFBA
is an association of EU member states involved in the production
of compound fertilisers blended by using various nutrients in a
number of regional factories.
This type of production is used for:
:
- obtain fertilisers for various crops and types of land.
- ensure management based on simple, direct delivery.
 By
this technique, both protection of the environment and economic
interest of farmers are taken into account
 EFBA
aims at :
- representing the common interests of fertiliser blenders at
government level, such as the European Union in Brussels ;
- exchanging knowledge and information on fertilisers ;
- performing common actions to improve the quality of blended
fertilisers ;
- carrying out studies in order to optimise economical and technical
handling
 By
its action, EFBA asserted the interest of fertiliser blenders toward
the European administration.
EFBA has also published a handbook on fertiliser
blends, available in three languages (English, French, German).
In addition, EFBA has drawn up standards for desirable
grain sizes for a quality blend.
